Character Development

So lately I've been really stressing about working on my novel. I don't have much done at all, despite the fact that I got the idea for this story almost a year ago. I've begun to realize though that I don't know my main character all too well. I've found a website though with one hundred questions for character development so I've decided that this weekend I'm going to spend a lot of time getting to know my main character. I think that's why I haven't been able to write a lot. I don't know my character or what she'd think/how she'd act. I think it's crucial that I find out as much about her as possible before I begin to write.
